This is a very powerful statement to make. Jesus knew what he was about to endure, yet he told God that ultimately he wanted his will to prevail.
It's inevitable that we will experience challenges in our walk with Christ, and in our efforts to minister to others about the things of God. Jesus' first statement tells us that he understands how difficult it can be, because he experienced it himself.
The second half of his statement is what we should focus on, God's will is paramount. He won't call us and then leave us to handle everything on our own. He is with us every step of the way, we only need to make the decision to take that first step.
