Bible Study: Q&A

The questions for this weeks Bible Study are:

Q1: Should believers pray for God to kill their enemies? Is this the right thing for us to do or is it seeking revenge?

Q2: Should we blame ministers if we or other believers sin or miss the mark because of an incorrect/misleading teaching or instruction from a man or woman of God.

We will be discussing these on Wednesday the 4th of July, until then you can comment with your responses. We look forward to reading them.

Remember, this is a time for discussion, not debate. Do not pull others down and please express any points of view in a Christ like manner.

Comments

  1. Q1: It is wrong to ask God to kill anyone. We are told to love and pray for our enemies. How can we expect God to kill another person and yet ask for forgiveness when we do wrong.

  2. Q2: Ministers have a responsibility to preach/teach the word of God, that have been called by God, as servants, to shepherd His people. Sheep follow the instructions of the shepherd, however, even sheep won't jump off a cliff or run into a burning building just because the shepherd directs them to.

We, unlike sheep, have the ability to read. If we read the word and compare it to what any minister says we will know whether or not to follow and instruction that they give. We all have to give an account of what we do Romans 14:12, so we are each responsible for or own actions. If we know the Word, it will be difficult for us to be led astray by any incorrect message.
